Château-Landon, a medieval city

Château-Landon, a medieval city - Aux Remparts de la Ville Forte

Château-Landon, is a very beautiful medieval city, built on a rocky hill.

The church Notre-Dame, typical example of transition between romanic and gothic, with its 57 m openwork bell tower of the XIIIe century, and the Saint-Séverin Abbey of the XIIe century.

Go down the stairs which go between the two mansions, the staircase said of The south Postern, towards the "path of the lovers" which goes along the Fusain river at the foot of ramparts.

Unique set of 17 renovated washhouses, hanging gardens and nice view of the ramparts from the Fusain valley.
